Huawei Mate X 5G Hands-on Review: Better than Galaxy Fold!
The device comes with a steep 16,999 yuan (~$2403) price tag and will go on sale this November. The company will also launch another foldable phone dubbed Mate Xs with kirin 990 next year.
Below are reaction comment about Huawei X 5G
Lol better at what? No google support even though it's running android so no apps to use at all. Out folding screen will get scratch and damage because it's made of plastic. And you mean better when it's $500 more? Oh no, thanks.
The out folding design is flawed. You don't want the most fragile elements to be exposed all the time. The included case doesn't help either. You bought the phone to be able to see both sides and use the functions in both screens all the time. If you are going to put the device inside a case, then you can't see both screens and can't use the thing!
Huawei says screen can not be folded or unfolded under -5 degree temperature. Without google service, only sell in China with cortex 76 arm technology in 2018 kirin 990 chip. Noone buy it even more expensive than galaxy fold.
It looks good but my main concern is that since foldables have these fragile plastic screens doesent an outward fold make the screen really vulnerable to scratches wherever you place it.
The scary part is huawei and its research subsidiaries wrote most of the 5G standard, they have more patents than even Qualcomm in 5G, and with design like this phone I think huawei is going to be a star player in the consumer tech industry
