But we’re getting to safely reopen our country and our economy, and it’s happening very rapidly. And it’s happening, interestingly, where numbers are literally going down; you check out Florida, the state of Florida. Done an excellent job. You check out Georgia, you check out others — they’re open. and a few do extremely well, far beyond what people thought.
And the numbers are taking place . The numbers that we've been talking about for the last two months, they’re actually taking place . So it’s really terrific.
In our drive to crush the virus, the U.S. has completed nearly 12 million tests. which test — that number today is nearly 14 million. Nobody is close. Germany would be second with approximately 10 million but us. and that we even have the simplest tests. South Korea is doing alright , but we’re at 14 million, and they’re at numbers that are very small by comparison.
What has been through with testing, what’s been through with ventilators, what’s been through with the distribution of product has been incredible. We’ve made tons of governors look excellent . We’ve actually made all of the governors look excellent . Some have done an honest job, but we’ve made all of them look excellent . We got them equipment, and that we got them their gowns and their ventilators and their tests like nobody would have thought possible.
Vaccines are moving quickly into phase one and phase two trials, and trials of dozens of therapies and cures are underway. And we’re making tremendous strides with therapies, cures, and vaccines. i feel we’re way before schedule.
And you almost certainly heard: Logistically, we've our military engaged. And as soon as we've whatever it's that we’re getting to have, whether it’s therapeutic or vaccine, it'll be distributed very rapidly. Our military is prepared to travel . they will deploy many thousands of men and ladies each day . And now what they’re getting to be doing is they’re getting to be doing the vaccine, which we are ready for even before we've it. But the probabilities folks having it are extraordinary.
